EPCD Ministry, Inc was founded by Pastor Roland and Shirley Scott, in the year of 1989, when the Lord led Pastor Scott to get a place of worship.
Pastors Roland and Shirley Scott former Pastor, Rev. George A. Johnson from the Jesus Supernatural Church of Deliverance in the city of Pompano Beach, Florida where they were faithful members for many years. Once they relocated to the city of Port Charlotte, Florida and after settling in this South West Regional Area their ministry began. In the year of 1989 their first building was located at Cooper Street and Charlotte Avenue in the city of Punta Gorda, Florida where the membership was about ten (10). After being there for about three (3) years God saw fit to move them to 701 Myrtle Street also in the city of Punta Gorda, Florida where the church is still residing until this day. From the time of 1992 God added to the church membership which grew to about twenty to twenty-five as time progressed on. After about eighteen years of preaching, teaching and reaching Pastor Roland and Shirley Scott felt that they needed some more help in ministry, so they requested their daughter Pastor Shelia Daniels to come and share with them as the Senior Pastor of the ministry. Since Pastor Daniels have come and became Senior Pastor God again has added to the church and now the membership have grown from twenty to twenty-five to about eighty-nine and counting. In this total there are 43 Active Members, 19 Non-Active Members, 22 Honorium Members and only 5 have physically left the ministry all together and rejoin another ministry. Considering there is no perfect church those figures are not bad at all. EPCD Ministry, Inc. also has a group of followers who come and worship and share in our worship experience. As you can see the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church of Deliverance Ministry, Inc. is going forth and leaving all the rest behind and if we can quote a verse from the bible: in the book of Matthew 16:18 when Jesus said: Upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. For some may come, and some may go, but the EPCD Ministry, Inc. knows that everything is “moving” by the Power of God and the church is growing and moving leaps and bounds in God for we are striving to go where no other have gone before in the things of God. Which is to say we are going “Beyond the Beyond” and this is our Church History.
Our visions is striving toward perfection and presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto God which is our reasonable service.
Our vision is striving to reach people of all races, creeds, and colors who are hurting, depressed, blind, captive, lonely, frustrated, in bondage, and confused can come and find true love, acceptance, forgiveness, hope, help, guidance, freedom, and encouragement which brings us to being that church who will reach the lost at any cost. E.P.C.D believes in the five-fold ministry gifts manifested throughout the body (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher); and to groven the church according to the word of god and the laws of the land, for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, for salvation, healing and deliverance for the soul of man through the divine power of god. Our vision is being accountable for those things that we know and having the attributes of Christ having godly character; godly integrity; and having the mind set of being creditable. Our Mission Statement
This ministry pledges to share the Word of God that has been bestowed upon the church. Not only to preach and teach His word but to lift His name up in praises for all men, women and children to hear and understand. EPCD Ministry, Inc. provides an apostolic covering for the ordination of Ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and for the churches and ministries working to bring others into a saving and full acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
To plant and strengthen members, churches, ministries and pastors. To provide ongoing training through specialized courses and seminars that address the issues and challenges of pasturing or directing a ministry. To become a vehicle where individual churches and ministries are accountable for their decision, mode of operation and ethical values and their work for the Kingdom of God. To provide accountability and credibility. To reconstruct the old building where we worship in to a more spacious area that there will be room enough to extend knowledge and understanding of the Word and to help the less fortunate to rehabilitate them to be successful in society. One particular area of concern is the single parents and unwed mothers which include teenage pregnancy rather male or female who are raising their children without the other parent. Also to the battered women and men in the community where our local assembly reside. The need is great in the church’s geography area. There are other ministries that are focusing in other areas to help and assist the less fortunate but from my experience of the battered women that have been fellowshipping at our house of worship the services are truly needed to be able to assist them in anyway possible. the vision for the building is to set at least 300 people to include a pulpit, choir stand area, band area, baptism area, sound room, administrative office, finance room, board of trustee meeting room, Pastor study office, the regular church men and women restrooms and a personal restroom for the Senior Pastor. TV monitors and Screen, a youth department area for the small children church, a kitchen and dinner room area. Closets for in order to assist that individual. This is a non-profit organization that will need all the finances that we can get to get this vision up and running. Of courser the parking lot to accommodate the members around the local assembly and a separate parking lot for the building that is attached for the EPCD City of Refuge Life & Enrichment Center
